I started feeling guilty that I never had G's picture taken with the Easter bunny this year.... or Santa for that matter.... so here is my attempt at Easter portraits before it was too late! She has her first cold and is getting two teeth so the timing was simply impeccable. Usually she just sits and smiles at the camera, but today she wanted no part of any of it. Just as I got her happily playing, she would notice my lens and turn her head away from me crying. I finally started bribing her with food (which you can see scattered about the set!) and that did the trick for a few shots. I think I managed to get a few cute ones. Massachusetts and Rhode Island Baby Portrait Photographer. South Shore 5 month old baby portrait session

Today was the 5 month old portrait session of the adorable little L. It rained on and off my whole way to the south shore and all the way back, however when I arrived at L's house, the clouds parted and the sun started shining. Tara, I think that must have been your mom :0) We got some adorable outdoor shots of L in the coat that Tara's mom had gotten for her. L was full of smiles and squeals through the whole shoot. L's family were wonderful assistants, singing songs and making silly noises. I loved meeting this family and I hope to get to visit again someday to play with L again!

Ok, I finally had some time to start editing my engagement shots from yesterday. Sorry J&D that I threw yours up sooc ("straight out of camera"), I was just so excited to show you! You will have an edited preview soon I promise! In the meantime, here is my other adorable couple A&M. It got very cold for this afternoon session, however the light really turned to our advantage at the end. I love the lens flare in some of the shots, very romantic! We traveled around the esplanade, Boston commons, and the brownstones of back bay. My goal is to get into Fenway for a session one day! I'm laughing going through these photos because it looks like I had them kissing all over the city, but really, I didn't even have to ask them! These two are very in love :0)

I'm starting to see cross-eyed, so I feel I should refrain from writing much as I probably won't make any sense. All I can say is I am in love with taking photos of people in love! Here's a preview from one of my two engagement sessions today. I still have HUNDREDS to go through. Every one I look at is my new favorite. There will be plenty more of these to come. This week I had my last two newborns for a few weeks and this little boy made me very sad to be switching gears. He was an absolute angel! Mom and dad loved simplicity so the shots are all clean, and I thought most of them looked best in classic black and white. I've been warming my black and white shots in photoshop with a layer of brown, which gives them a "chocolate" look. Baby D's personality really stole the show in every shot. He fell asleep so easily and smiled through the entire shoot! Enjoy your last newborn preview for a while. I've got some older babies and engagement shoots coming up next! Oh girl! Another cutie pie. I don't have much time to blog this morning because I am swamped with work and falling behind! I have 3 sessions to edit and another newborn today at noon. Usually I can catch up on the weekend, but I booked myself solid with 2 engagements and a children's session. I thought I would at least take a second while my newborn linens are drefting in the wash to post a few shots from yesterday's shoot. I know mom and dad are dying for a peak! I promise to have more for you soon!
