We celebrated her first birthday in style with a cake smash of course (is there any other way?). This girl was a peanut but she was on the move. She gave mom and I a good workout! Wow! It has been one busy week! Lot's of new babies born, first birthdays celebrated, and a few little ones still left to visit the studio tomorrow. This job is certainly full of joyful moments! This time the family came to visit me and Baby D celebrated his first birthday in style with a cake smash. I loved seeing you all again and can't wait to show you your whole gallery!

I have had the pleasure of photographing this adorable baby girl since she was in her mommy's belly over a year ago! I can't believe how fast she's grown and I loved capturing her first birthday portraits. We got some adorable traditional stuff, but these fun ones really make me smile!

You might recognize this adorable face. The lashes to die for. The pouty lips. I have loved photographing this baby over the past year and had a ball photographing her cake smash last week. She wasn't much in the mood for my camera, but she LOVED the cake! It's odd, I find many babies are actually scared of the cake. I think they aren't quite sure what to make of it. Not R! I had so much fun photographing this little cutie pie today! It seems to be just about peek foliage now in RI and we were blessed with some beautiful weather to celebrate this little boy's birthday. I wish you could see the real color of these photographs. The internet never does them justice. We started our session outdoors for some traditional portraits in the park and then headed down the road for a studio cake smash. What a way to christen the new studio!! It is not entirely finished inside, but we though it a bit chilly for a naked baby outdoors. Baby S didn't seem to mind the unfinished studio. He had a ball in front of the camera, inside and out. Enjoy your preview mom. I loved catching up with you and meeting S. You'll have to frame the shot of the two of you with the car keys for his 16th birthday. He'll probably be picking up my daughter for a date by then :0)

Yesterday kicked off my very busy week with a job I enjoyed so much that I didn't want to leave! Baby R's cake smash session was so fun to photograph and R's mom was so fun to visit with. Cake smash sessions are taken around 11 months and R will be turning one this month. He was an absolute sweetheart through our whole shoot. He didn't mind all of the wardrobe changes and was so adorable I wanted to take him home with me! Can you get over those cheeks?? We even caught some of his first steps on camera. First birthdays are such a special time and we captured some great memories. I think mom will agree! Enjoy your preview :0)
