Baby E, my newest niece! Rhode Island and Massachusetts newborn baby portrait photographer creates spring and easter newborn baby portraits

I am so proud to introduce you to my new niece, baby E. I could have held her all day yesterday! She was wide awake at the beginning of our session so I had some extra time getting to cuddle her to sleep. I 'm pretty sure she just wanted to play with her Aunty! She already knows how much fun I am! She was good to me though and had a nice little sleepy period so we could get some of the shots you see below. At two weeks old (I may be biased) she was a total doll face! Enjoy your preview mom and dad ;0)

Baby D, a little doll! Rhode Island and Massachusetts newborn baby photographer creates fine art newborn portraits in natural light studio

Last week was full of babies and this sweet little girl was another one to make my heart melt. She looked like a little doll with cherry red lips and dark skin and lashes. She required almost no editing her skin was so perfect! Mom and dad brought along a blanket that was a family heirloom and I just so happened to buy a yellow pot a few weeks back that matched it perfectly. I love the challenge of creatively incorporating keepsakes into the sets we think up, and I adore the results here! I also had the chance to use a brand new wrap that I recently ordered. We tried it on baby C earlier in the week but he was just a bit to long to curl into it. Baby D turned out to be just the right size. Add a flower and it was just perfection! Enjoy your preview mom and dad!

Newborn Baby C. My teeniest newborn! Rhode Island and Massachusetts newborn baby portrait photographer. In home and on-location newborn portraits.

Yesterday I had a double header and was all over the map! My day started off with this adorable newborn baby girl, C. The day was extra special because it was actually Baby C's due date. Baby C made a very early appearance almost 6 weeks ago at just over 4 pounds. She spent a few weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Newton Wellesley Hospital, but was finally home with mom and dad when I came to visit. What a special way to celebrate her homecoming! For our session, C was already over 6 pounds with the most adorable chubby cheeks. She was my teeniest newborn so far, however I must say, she peed and pooped more than any newborn I've ever worked with!!! Me, mom and dad were all completely covered. None of us minded though, because C was such a sweetheart! Enjoy your preview mom and dad, and your sweet little angel :0)

Sleepy girl! Rhode Island and Massachusetts newborn baby portrait photographer.

Here is newborn number two from last Friday. This little girl could not have been easier to work with. She was so sleepy and sweet. Mom, dad, aunty and I all had so much fun posing this little one. I wish I could bring aunty along on every shoot, she was a total baby whisperer! The only thing we had trouble with was getting a shot with baby D's eyes OPEN for mom and dad. I did manage to get a few that you will see in your gallery :0) In the meantime, here is your preview. Enjoy.

Awake little man! Rhode Island and Massachusetts on location newborn portrait photographer

I am finally sitting down in my new office, ready to proof a whole load of sessions. I thought I would get my two newborn previews up before getting lost in digital file sorting. Friday was two newborns back to back. Here is the first little man. This session was a little longer than most, lasting over three hours, and the entire time little F wanted nothing to do with the sleepy newborn shots we all had in mind. It just goes to show you that babies always have their own agenda! I still had so much fun visiting with F's family. Turns out all of them together were some of my best shots from the session. Big brother T was one of the easiest toddlers I've ever worked with at a newborn shoot. He definitely stole my heart and almost stole the show... but as you can see below, little brother F holds his own in the adorable department! Finally, on my way out the door, we got one sleeping shot of F in his swing, and it was totally worth the wait :0) Enjoy your preview!

So many newborns, so little time! Rhode Island newborn baby portrait photography studio

Yesterday I had two newborns back to back. They were both equally adorable but COMPLETELY different sessions! The first little man wanted nothing to do with sleep but his adorable older brother kept my camera very happy. The second little girl could not be woken up! Here is one shot I couldn't wait to get up. Both full previews should be up by Monday so check back in :0)

I Finally Did It! Rhode Island Newborn Baby Portrait Photographer

Today started out on the wrong foot. I lugged all of my equipment down the flights of stairs at my condo and out to the rainy parking lot (hopefully for the last time). I juggled all of my equipment with G strapped onto me in the carrier, looking up at me like I was a crazy woman. I dropped my box of lights in a puddle, my bean bag on the wet grass, and a basket full of mail got soaking wet. I was almost in tears and the day had not even begun. I'm happy to say, it all turned around when I got to baby P's house. This is why I have the best job in the world. I arrived to two happy parents, completely in love with their new little girl. How could they not be? This baby girl was so sweet! I don't have time for a full preview but I had to post this one shot because I was so thrilled. I've been trying this pose for months and, with the help of dad, I finally got it! Check back in tomorrow for the full preview. I don't know how I'll ever choose my favorites... she was that sweet!

Sweet baby girls! Massachusetts and Rhode Island Newborn portrait photographer, in home newborn photographs

What a week! 3 newborn girls, a maternity session... and we're moving. Yesterday was one of three baby girls in one week and I had so much fun photographing her family. I felt like I had known them forever. Baby P took a very long time to get to sleep.... nursing, noise machine, space heater, heating pad, shushing and patting.... but when she finally drifted off she was an absolute dream to work with! I'm still working on a newborn pose that I have in my head and baby P is the closest I've come to it. Look how adorable this girl looks posing for the camera! Mom was such a good sport playing the waiting game with me that I felt like I was visiting with an old friend. Enjoy your preview.... I must get back to editing!
