I've had a lot of fun photographing babies over the past year. I've collected more props than I know what to do with. Fortunately for my art (but unfortunately for my wallet) I get bored easily and after the rush of Holiday portraits I was ready for something fresh. My Christmas "bonus" this year was to buy a new lens. I went for the 60mm macro and I can't wait to share the results with you! This little man was the perfect baby to try it out on. Mom loves simplicity in photography and that's exactly what I was going for with this lens. Sharp focus and slim depth of field give a creamy background and put all the attention on the simple beauty of a baby's features. Magical. Lucky for me, this baby made my job easy. Mom takes lots of pictures so he wasn't the least bit scared of my lens in his face! He was smiley and easy going the whole shoot. I could get lost in his eyes. Thanks for coming into the studio mom and dad. Can't wait to show you the rest. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI am blessed to have three beautiful grandchildren. My newest, Ryder, has completely stolen my heart. He is so beautiful and handsome at the same time. My favorites are the first and fourth pictures. The last one really captures his personality!! Kudoa ro you Heidi on taking such great photographs.
