My second maternity shoot last week was on location. Mom is pregnant with TWINS and on bed rest so I brought my studio to her. Twins! Doesn't she look fabulous?! This shoot was a surprise for dad so hopefully he doesn't frequent my blog :0) She's going to show him the slideshow on Christmas morning.... awwww! I can't wait to hear about his reaction. I had the pleasure of doing two maternity shoots last week, both of whom I will have the pleasure of doing a newborn shoot for as well. I love meeting a couple and then getting to photograph them again as a family. It is such a magical time! This couple was so laid back and fun. They came down to the studio and we had fun playing with a few different set ups. Mom and dad were both sports fans, and ok, I might have been a little biased when setting up their sports shots :0) At least we all found some common ground with the red sox. Here is a preview from a couple who had their autumn outdoor session a few weeks ago. This morning they met me at the studio for a few studio shots. Once again they were lots of fun! I can't wait to meet this baby :0) The last picture I'm playing with a little texture for a vintage look. I was so excited to have someone due so close to Christmas so I could finally use that idea! This is going to be one big gallery!

I'm so excited to share this preview with you. This gorgeous couple is very dear to me and I am absolutely thrilled that their little one will be arriving in a few short weeks. December is packed with newborns (what was going on 8 months ago??) and I can hardly wait. I traveled to their home for our portrait session and we were lucky enough to get a beautiful day despite it being November already. This will surely be my last trip to the beach for a while, but I think I got enough good shots to hold me over :0) Enjoy your preview A and T. I can't wait to get my hands on that little munchkin!

I bought this pumpkin a few weeks ago. It was pouring rain and I had just straightened my hair, but I was determined. I pulled into the local flower stand. I was late to a shoot and really didn't have the time for pumpkin shopping (nor was I happy about all of my hair straightening going to waste) but I had it in my head that I needed pumpkins for my upcoming sessions. What was autumn after all with out pumpkins? After carefully examining shape and size, I carried my giant order one by one to the counter getting dirt all over my white shirt. The cashier dropped one of my carefully selected gourds and it shattered everywhere. Back out in the pouring rain to pick a new one! I finally made it out of there with two giant, dirty, wet pumpkins... and three weeks later, I finally got some use out of the darned things! This couple was so much fun to photograph. They were gorgeous and up for anything. In fact, dad to be had so many ideas I didn't know what to do with him! Best of all, they loved my pumpkin! They actually almost stopped to pick one up on the way. It was destined to be a good shoot. They are coming back to the studio when it opens in a few weeks for the studio portion of their shoot so this isn't the last you'll see of them. Enjoy your preview :0)

Bet you didn't think I would get this up today! I have four sessions coming up tomorrow so I thought I better get cranking on the previews from this weekend. I had a great time photographing this couple today in their beautiful home. It was a dark day full of pouring rain. We weren't able to take any portraits outside and the light was certainly not ideal. None of that mattered though as this couple had so many great ideas and were so easy to work with. I hope they had as much fun as I did! And how good does this mama-to-be look at 34 weeks pregnant?? I think I might have looked like this at 20 weeks and I still had about 40 lbs to go after that! Can't wait to meet the beautiful little one in a few short weeks. He/she already gave me a giant kick while I was taking their picture today. Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

I am so excited to post this preview today. I just love these portraits! This couple was so much fun to meet and work with. We traveled to Horseneck beach in Massachusetts for their maternity portraits yesterday. We just had to get in one last beach shoot before summer is officially over in New England! Normally shooting on a beach in mid day sun (with not a cloud in the sky) can be some tough light to work with so I was very pleased to get home and see how fantastic these came out! I really love playing with light and I'm starting to get the hang of shooting straight into the sun for some cool flare effects. I have so many new favorites from this session. I hope you love your preview K and J. I can't wait to meet this baby in a few months!

Here is preview number two for today. I just love the images from this session. They are all so fresh, colorful, and pure. I'm really into the high key backgrounds lately. I have my client stand near a big sliding glass door or window to create that look. Below I even played around with a vintagey effect. This couple was so much fun to work with.
