I am so thrilled to share this preview with you. This gorgeous couple is very dear to me, and inside that beautiful belly is my soon-to-be-born niece! With less than a month to go, I figured I better get going on this preview and gallery. Mom and dad-to-be have been patiently waiting for it to go up. That's what happens when you are family... I know you'll still love me even if I'm horribly late posting your preview! This couple wasn't crazy about the standard maternity portraiture so I got to have lots of fun trying out new stuff. Happy 2010 everyone! I have a really good feeling about this year and it started off wonderfully with the couple who came to the studio yesterday. After a few days off around the holidays, I'm feeling refreshed with new ideas and lots of inspiration. This couple was so fun to work with. They were up for anything and kept me laughing. They didn't mind being crammed up near the windows on a dark and snowy day... or driving down an hour from Boston to get there! I think we got some amazing shots and I absolutely can't wait to meet this sweet baby... due in 3 weeks! I'm off to the studio to meet my first newborn of the year, with many more to come this week. My second maternity shoot last week was on location. Mom is pregnant with TWINS and on bed rest so I brought my studio to her. Twins! Doesn't she look fabulous?! This shoot was a surprise for dad so hopefully he doesn't frequent my blog :0) She's going to show him the slideshow on Christmas morning.... awwww! I can't wait to hear about his reaction. I had the pleasure of doing two maternity shoots last week, both of whom I will have the pleasure of doing a newborn shoot for as well. I love meeting a couple and then getting to photograph them again as a family. It is such a magical time! This couple was so laid back and fun. They came down to the studio and we had fun playing with a few different set ups. Mom and dad were both sports fans, and ok, I might have been a little biased when setting up their sports shots :0) At least we all found some common ground with the red sox. The sun is shining and I can't wait to get outside, but I had a bit of work to do first! Here is the preview from a very fun couple I visited on Friday. They were so easy going and up for anything. I absolutely can't wait to come back and photograph their new baby. They are Belly to Birthday clients which is such a joy for me. They went to college and served in the military together.... and now they are about to make their family bigger by one :0) It was easy to see they were best friends. Maternity Beach Portrait Session: Rhode Island and Massachusetts Maternity Photographer

I LOVE LOVE LOVE being back outdoors! Have I mentioned that? Now that the weather is nice, it seems that every portrait session is my new favorite. Yesterday's is no exception. I am so excited about the images from yesterday's maternity portrait session. This couple was up for anything. We started at the their home taking some studio style photos, so of course we captured all of the classics, but then we headed to second beach in Newport and I just love the portraits we created. Those are the ones that I had to share here. I loved working with the sunlight and playing with all of the qualities that sun, wind, and water lend to a photograph. I will be heading back in a few weeks for Leo's newborn session and I can't wait to work with this couple... soon to be family... again! Enjoy your preview!

Massachusetts Maternity Portrait Photographer- Connacht and John's Maternity Session

Yesterday was the Maternity Session for Connacht and John. Let me just say that I could have torn the two straight out of a JCrew catalog. That baby is going to have the most amazing blue eyes. Connacht and John were so laid back that I didn't even feel like I was on the job. I think I laughed through the entire shoot. From trying to get the dogs to stay on the bed (I think we managed a decent shot!), to John's "manakin face," my face hurt from smiling at the end of the day. I hope they had as much fun as I did. I absolutely can't wait for the baby to arrive so I can come and visit with my camera again. Here is a sneak preview... enjoy!
