Autumn maternity portraits. Rhode Island photographer creates outdoor natural light pregnancy portraits at Rodger Williams Park.

I bought this pumpkin a few weeks ago. It was pouring rain and I had just straightened my hair, but I was determined. I pulled into the local flower stand. I was late to a shoot and really didn't have the time for pumpkin shopping (nor was I happy about all of my hair straightening going to waste) but I had it in my head that I needed pumpkins for my upcoming sessions. What was autumn after all with out pumpkins? After carefully examining shape and size, I carried my giant order one by one to the counter getting dirt all over my white shirt. The cashier dropped one of my carefully selected gourds and it shattered everywhere. Back out in the pouring rain to pick a new one! I finally made it out of there with two giant, dirty, wet pumpkins... and three weeks later, I finally got some use out of the darned things! This couple was so much fun to photograph. They were gorgeous and up for anything. In fact, dad to be had so many ideas I didn't know what to do with him! Best of all, they loved my pumpkin! They actually almost stopped to pick one up on the way. It was destined to be a good shoot. They are coming back to the studio when it opens in a few weeks for the studio portion of their shoot so this isn't the last you'll see of them. Enjoy your preview :0)

In home maternity portraits, Ashland Ma. Rhode Island maternity and pregnancy portrait photographer.

Bet you didn't think I would get this up today! I have four sessions coming up tomorrow so I thought I better get cranking on the previews from this weekend. I had a great time photographing this couple today in their beautiful home. It was a dark day full of pouring rain. We weren't able to take any portraits outside and the light was certainly not ideal. None of that mattered though as this couple had so many great ideas and were so easy to work with. I hope they had as much fun as I did! And how good does this mama-to-be look at 34 weeks pregnant?? I think I might have looked like this at 20 weeks and I still had about 40 lbs to go after that! Can't wait to meet the beautiful little one in a few short weeks. He/she already gave me a giant kick while I was taking their picture today. Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

Horseneck beach maternity portraits. Rhode Island pregnancy photographer creates pregnancy portraits on location in Massachusetts. Beach photography

I am so excited to post this preview today. I just love these portraits! This couple was so much fun to meet and work with. We traveled to Horseneck beach in Massachusetts for their maternity portraits yesterday. We just had to get in one last beach shoot before summer is officially over in New England! Normally shooting on a beach in mid day sun (with not a cloud in the sky) can be some tough light to work with so I was very pleased to get home and see how fantastic these came out! I really love playing with light and I'm starting to get the hang of shooting straight into the sun for some cool flare effects. I have so many new favorites from this session. I hope you love your preview K and J. I can't wait to meet this baby in a few months!

Rhode Island Maternity portraits. On location maternity photographer creates in home pregnancy portraits.

Here is preview number two for today. I just love the images from this session. They are all so fresh, colorful, and pure. I'm really into the high key backgrounds lately. I have my client stand near a big sliding glass door or window to create that look. Below I even played around with a vintagey effect. This couple was so much fun to work with. She had such a beautiful belly. I can't wait to come back in a few short weeks to meet their new addition. Enjoy your preview!

Maternity Portraits. Wellesley Ma. Rhode Island and Massachusetts On location, in home Maternity Photographer.

Here is preview #2 from yesterday.  This couple was an absolute joy to work with.  I am so excited to be coming back to meet baby in a few weeks.  If baby is as easy to work with as mom and dad, it should be one fun shoot!  Pardon the short introduction, my husband is calling me for dinner!  Enjoy your preview :0)

Maternity Portrait Session. Rhode Island Maternity Photographer

Here is a sneak peak from another of last week's sessions. With all of the rain rescheduling, at least belly and baby shoots are keeping me busy! There are 5 newborns coming up in the next two weeks so keep checking in for an unprecedented amount of cute! This "belly session" couple was so much fun to work with. Their house was all ready for baby and the nursery was so adorable we had to get a shot in there before the session was through. Even soon-to-be grandmother was a part of the experience cheering us on the whole time. Enjoy your preview :0)

Maternity Portrait Session- Rhode Island Maternity photographer, surprise maternity portraits!

I'm not sure why I can't sleep. Perhaps its that we are closing on a house in two weeks, moving our entire life, my business, and my husband's job, or that we're leaving for the Caribbean in 4 days! What ever it is, my clients are reaping the benefits! When I was up at 2am tossing and turning I decided to break out my laptop and start editing yesterdays maternity session. Maybe it was the excitement over this shoot that made me unable to sleep! I am thrilled with these images. This client was amazing to work with. For starters she was stunning. The kind of pregnant woman I was jealous of my entire pregnancy! But it wasn't just that, she was so fun to work with. She was doing these portraits as a surprise for her husband, and I'm pretty sure his jaw will drop when he sees them :0) Let's hope he isn't a faithful follower of my blog! I'll be coming back to visit lots this year as we will also be doing newborn and baby's first year packages.

I am so happy with these images. Thanks for letting me share how beautiful they turned out! Enjoy your preview.
