Outdoor family portrait session. Rhode Island photographer creates on location family portraits in Abington, South Shore Massachusetts

You might remember this sweet little girl from April of this year. I have many favorite things about my job, but one of the things I love most is getting to see families as they grow and change over time. First meeting couples, then welcoming their tiny newborns, then watching babies grow and change. I really enjoyed being able to see this family again and meet some of their other family members. It was a dark day but the rain held off and I think we got some amazing shots! Enjoy your preview, I can't wait to show you the rest!

Autumn first birthday portraits. Rhode Island baby photographer creates outdoor baby portraits and studio first birthday cake smash.

I had so much fun photographing this little cutie pie today! It seems to be just about peek foliage now in RI and we were blessed with some beautiful weather to celebrate this little boy's birthday. I wish you could see the real color of these photographs. The internet never does them justice. We started our session outdoors for some traditional portraits in the park and then headed down the road for a studio cake smash. What a way to christen the new studio!! It is not entirely finished inside, but we though it a bit chilly for a naked baby outdoors. Baby S didn't seem to mind the unfinished studio. He had a ball in front of the camera, inside and out. Enjoy your preview mom. I loved catching up with you and meeting S. You'll have to frame the shot of the two of you with the car keys for his 16th birthday. He'll probably be picking up my daughter for a date by then :0)

Autumn maternity portraits. Rhode Island photographer creates outdoor natural light pregnancy portraits at Rodger Williams Park.

I bought this pumpkin a few weeks ago. It was pouring rain and I had just straightened my hair, but I was determined. I pulled into the local flower stand. I was late to a shoot and really didn't have the time for pumpkin shopping (nor was I happy about all of my hair straightening going to waste) but I had it in my head that I needed pumpkins for my upcoming sessions. What was autumn after all with out pumpkins? After carefully examining shape and size, I carried my giant order one by one to the counter getting dirt all over my white shirt. The cashier dropped one of my carefully selected gourds and it shattered everywhere. Back out in the pouring rain to pick a new one! I finally made it out of there with two giant, dirty, wet pumpkins... and three weeks later, I finally got some use out of the darned things! This couple was so much fun to photograph. They were gorgeous and up for anything. In fact, dad to be had so many ideas I didn't know what to do with him! Best of all, they loved my pumpkin! They actually almost stopped to pick one up on the way. It was destined to be a good shoot. They are coming back to the studio when it opens in a few weeks for the studio portion of their shoot so this isn't the last you'll see of them. Enjoy your preview :0)

New england newborn photographer creates on location newborn portraits in Wellesley Massachusetts

Another sweet newborn from a couple you may remember from this summer. I couldn't wait to come and visit this family again. Baby C was absolutely adorable and his lips were to die for! He wasn't much into sleeping though. He fought it for the first hour or so. We did manage to get some adorable sleepy shots of him before he woke up from his little cat nap in front of my camera and of course we got everyone's favorite feet with the rings shot! Enjoy your preview mom and dad. Can't wait to show you the rest!

Three little newborn boys to share with you today and this little man is the first. It has been a very busy week here and today is the first chance I've had to sit down at my computer and finally go through my loot. I was so excited when I uploaded these shots. Baby C was so much fun to play with. You may have noticed that newborn girls have far numbered boys in recent months, but this week I was finally able to break out the blue! C's parents had lots of great ideas and we had fun trying to get this little man into all of them. Literally. So dad's glove got a little tinkle on it, but it was all in the name of a great photo! Luckily C is a baby's first year baby, so we'll have lots more opportunities to work that glove in. Enjoy your preview mom and dad. Loved seeing you again!

Rhode Island portrait photographer creates outdoor on location holiday family and baby portraits in Grafton Massachusetts

Woohoo! My final preview for the day. Phew! These two little girls are some of the most adorable babies I've ever photographed. Anyone with a 2 year old and an infant knows that it can be virtually impossible to get them on camera together. 15 months - 2 1/2 year olds are by far the most active to shoot, and under 6 months can be tough because they can't sit on their own and are limited in posing.... but put them both together?? I was so happy to get home and see that we got some shots! In fact, we got some GREAT shots! First the whole family is gorgeous (which always helps), but mom did such a good job dressing everyone as well. Clothing choice is really SO important in family photographs and this family is a perfect example of how to do it well! Enjoy your preview mom and dad :0)

Preview number 3! Only one left to go! This family was so much fun to meet and work with. 4 siblings, a spouse, and a little peanut. Have you all been in a lot of weddings??? They got right down to business and were naturals in front of the camera. Definitely my fastest shoot of the day. I didn't have to chase a single one of them for a shot! On top of that they brought along an absolutely adorable baby girl for me to play with. Enjoy your preview. I think mom is going to be very happy with you this Christmas. (Are you going to be able to keep her away from these pictures until then?!)

When I originally thought of doing four shoots in a day, I figured I could just get 2 or 3 favorite pictures up for each preview and it wouldn't be too crazy. I should have known myself better. Or maybe I should have anticipated that every session would be a gorgeous family with adorable kids who all showed up perfectly dressed! Well my job is a tough one today because I'm finding it incapable to narrow down my favorites. Here is preview number two. I'm sure that 3 and 4 will be well into the night! Enjoy!
