Yesterday ended my crazy week on a high note! I had so much fun photographing this family. Big brother S was a great helper and it was a joy to see how much he loved his baby brother. Baby brother S just turned one and did great in front of the camera! I think we got some great shots mom and dad. Enjoy your preview!

Yesterday I had a double header and was all over the map! My day started off with this adorable newborn baby girl, C. The day was extra special because it was actually Baby C's due date. Baby C made a very early appearance almost 6 weeks ago at just over 4 pounds. She spent a few weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Newton Wellesley Hospital, but was finally home with mom and dad when I came to visit. What a special way to celebrate her homecoming! For our session, C was already over 6 pounds with the most adorable chubby cheeks. She was my teeniest newborn so far, however I must say, she peed and pooped more than any newborn I've ever worked with!!! Me, mom and dad were all completely covered. None of us minded though, because C was such a sweetheart! Enjoy your preview mom and dad, and your sweet little angel :0)

Here is the sneak preview from today's little man.  You might remember mom and dad from here.  He was a bit older than my typical newborns, turning 19 days today.  Usually after 14 days old they start to get much fiestier, and baby L was no exception.  Just when I thought he was really in a deep sleep, he let me know I wasn't getting away with any funny stuff by letting out a loud roar!  We did manage to get a few sleepy shots though, and I think mom and dad will be very pleased.  My favorite part about L was his adorable hair.  I've been lucky with the full manes on my last few newborns.  I think it looks so cute in photographs!  Enjoy your preview mom and dad.

Yesterday kicked off my very busy week with a job I enjoyed so much that I didn't want to leave! Baby R's cake smash session was so fun to photograph and R's mom was so fun to visit with. Cake smash sessions are taken around 11 months and R will be turning one this month. He was an absolute sweetheart through our whole shoot. He didn't mind all of the wardrobe changes and was so adorable I wanted to take him home with me! Can you get over those cheeks?? We even caught some of his first steps on camera. First birthdays are such a special time and we captured some great memories. I think mom will agree! Enjoy your preview :0)

I love newborns. I just love them. The are the cutest, teeniest, squishiest little miracles and every one I visit is my new favorite. My job never gets old! My props do however and yesterday I had to stop at Target and treat myself to a shopping spree of fun new toys to play with on my shoots. My reward for all of the newborn poop I've had to get out of my props lately! After my shopping spree I had the newborn session for the adorable baby J. This girl was a total doll face with a thick mane of auburn hair. She seriously had more hair than my one year old daughter who I still desperately try to attach bows to. Newborn girls are feisty and this little sweetie was no different. She really just wanted to stay up and socialize. She actually reminded me of my daughter in a lot of ways. No, no, no, I won't be on maternity leave any time soon... just reminiscing! J's parents were completely laid back and patient, and we finally got baby J to sleep. Then we had lot's of fun. We barely got the last shot because J had finally had enough, but I had to post it just because we tried so hard! Thanks for having me come over and share in this time with you E and K. Today was the newborn session of the adorable baby J.  Baby J was a very big boy who loved nothing more than cuddling with mommy and was not very happy with me when I took him away!  He took lots of work to get to sleep and woke pretty easily.  Although we did manage some great shots, I have to admit, my favorite shots from this session are from big sister M who stole the show!  M was the easiest toddler I have ever worked with at a newborn shoot.  She completely stole my heart and my camera absolutely adored her!  She was only 18 months old, and held her brother so gently.  I loved working with this family and was a little sad when our "playdate" was over.  Enjoy your preview :0)

Family Portraits for Holiday 2009. The 2009 Family Holiday Sessions Now Booking

I can't believe I'm already talking about the Holidays, but this coming Holiday season is already booking up fast.  Weekend dates are the first to fill up and I really want to get you all in for your Holiday card portraits.  I've decided to do Holiday sessions in the fall of 2009 at a special price in order to get you all in.  The 2009 Holiday Session is a one hour portrait session at an outdoor location in your area.  October 4th will be in Central Massachusetts, October 11th will be in Rhode Island, and October 25th will be in the Boston area.  Session appointment times will be 9am, 10:30am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 3pm, and 4:30pm on each date.  The 2009 Holiday Session is $200 and includes:

• A 1 hour premium portrait session at a scheduled outdoor location (to be determined) for up to 5 family members.  Additional family members may be included for $25 per person.

• Post-session custom image preparation with attention to each image

• A sneak preview 1-3 days after your session with a selection of Heidi’s favorite images

• A password protected online gallery of 10-15 images to share with family and friends

• Watermarked image sharing on social networking sites such as facebook at your request.
